Release summary

This release adds a lab scenario for Layer 2 connectivity over EVPN/VXLAN, inter-subnet routing in a tenant VRF over L3 EVPN/VXLAN, and EVPN multihoming. The supplied CLI files configure an eBGP IPv4 underlay and an EVPN control plane across two spine and three leaf switches.

New lab scenarios and configuration

  • Layer 2 EVPN/VXLAN: LEAF-1 and LEAF-2 extend VLAN 11 through L2VNI 10011 for two hosts in the 10.10.11.0/24 subnet. VLAN 10 uses L2VNI 10010 for the multihomed host. LEAF-3 maps VLAN 20 to L2VNI 10020.

  • Layer 3 EVPN/VXLAN: The three leaf switches configure Vrf-lab with L3VNI 50000 and anycast gateways. The lab includes a routed traffic scenario between a host in 10.10.11.0/24 and a host in 10.10.20.0/24.

  • EVPN multihoming: LEAF-1 and LEAF-2 configure an Ethernet segment on PortChannel1 for the dual-attached MH-host. The CLI files also configure EVPN multihoming startup delay and uplink link-state tracking.

  • Underlay and overlay: Each leaf peers with both spine switches using eBGP for IPv4 unicast reachability and L2VPN EVPN. Each leaf has its own VXLAN VTEP address.
